London Laser Answers Your Most Common Questions
London Laser Tattoo Removal has received many questions over the years about the tattoo removal process and other related concerns. For your convenience, we have listed answers to your most common questions here. If you have an inquiry or concern, please contact us at our London clinic for assistance.
Q: Does it hurt during and after the treatment?
A: During treatment, some patients experience a slight sting similar to a rubber band snapping against the skin, followed by the feeling of sunburn. To minimize these discomforts we use a Cryo Zimmer, which blows freezing cold air on the treatment area before, during and after treatment. We also have a specially formulated, effective anaesthetic cream that can be applied prior to treatment. Ice packs are also available. Any feeling of discomfort does not typically linger after treatment.
Q: How much will laser tattoo removal cost?
A: Your no obligation consultation will establish the approximate number of treatments required to achieve your expected results. The price depends on several variables, including the size of the tattoo and the number of treatments required.
What we do offer is guaranteed pricing for peace of mind. Read more here.
Q: How safe is it? Are there any side effects?
A: Our treatments are only administered by Certified Laser Technicians. The PicoSure™ and MedLite® C6 are safe, non-invasive lasers that provide minimal risk of scarring, skin pigment changes, and discomfort during treatment.
It is common to notice white blotches on your skin immediately after each pulse of the laser. The area around the tattoo could also appear red and swollen. This is a natural part of the process and will disappear over time. To avoid infection and to maximize results, keep the treated area clean and away from sun exposure.
Q: How can I be sure that it will be successful?
A: In our experience virtually all tattoos can be safely and effectively removed. Results depend on variables such as your skin type, the size and location of the tattoo, and the composition of the tattoo itself. In most cases, visible results are achieved after the first treatment, although several treatments are typically required. Your consultation will help to establish the approximate number of treatments required to achieve your expected results.
Q: Is everyone a good candidate for tattoo removal?
A: While most people are good candidates for tattoo removal, certain conditions may make you unsuitable (for example, pregnancy). London Laser™ Tattoo Removal does a thorough pre-treatment health assessment to ensure you’re a good candidate.
Q: Are there other ways to remove tattoos? What about creams?
Q: WHY THE PICOSURE LASER?
A: We often hear of other establishments claiming that they have the “latest” or “best” technology. Before opening we looked at all lasers available on the market, seeking the best laser for tattoo removal. The Picosure by Cynosure was a clear winner. There simply is no laser more effective with such a low risk of scarring. It also happens to work for all skin types. We figured as tattoo removal specialists, we’d better not offer the second or third best laser. Since the PicoSure™ laser came to market, it completely changed the game of tattoo removal, removing tattoos just as safely in half the treatments. We were first to invest to give our clients the best..
