Chemical Peel Treatment

Chemical peels gently exfoliate or strip the surface layer of the skin to remove dead skin cells.The peels may contain one of these doctor-approved chemical solutions for the peel: glycolic acid, salicylic acid, lactic acid, mandelic acids, and other types of acids. They can be used to treat wrinkles, discoloration, scarring, and other skin imperfections.
How It Works
The procedure starts with a thorough examination of the face to determine its condition. Your aesthetician will determine the formulation of these chemicals, depending on your specific needs and goals for your skin. There are three levels: light, medium, and deep chemical peels.
As a preparation, the aesthetician will clean your skin with a mild cleanser. The chemical solutions are then applied to the skin to exfoliate damaged and old layers.
The chemical peel is applied in thin layers and will not reach the sensitive eye area.
Depending on the intensity of the peel, you may feel some light tingling (known as activation), which your treatment provider will guide you through.
During your treatment, the peel will work to power away dead cells to illuminate the skin and reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, age spots, clogged pores and blemishes.
